Purpose of Position:

The Architect will be responsible for ensuring alignment with client specifications, regulatory standards, and financial parameters, the Architect oversees all aspects of project execution from conceptualization to completion. This role involves generating innovative design concepts, producing detailed plans, coordinating with various stakeholders, and overseeing project implementation to deliver superior outcomes within established timelines and budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Spearhead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs for various projects,
ensuring alignment with client requirements, functional needs, and aesthetic preferences.
Create comprehensive architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications using CAD
software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory
requirements.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, goals, and budget constraints,
providing expert guidance and recommendations throughout the design process to achieve
optimal outcomes.
Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards,
conducting thorough research and consultations to address any compliance issues or
challenges.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to
integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems seamlessly into architectural designs,
fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Provide leadership and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from design development to
construction completion, monitoring progress, resolving design-related issues, and ensuring
adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Conduct regular site visits to assess construction progress, verify compliance with design
specifications, and address any design discrepancies or field challenges, providing timely
guidance and support to project teams.
Review and approve material selections, finishes, and architectural details in collaboration with
clients and project teams, ensuring alignment with design intent, quality standards, and
budgetary constraints.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, approvals, and change orders,
maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission to regulatory authorities and
project stakeholders.
Maintain open and effective communication channels with clients, project teams, and external
stakeholders, facilitating regular meetings, presentations, and discussions to foster
collaboration, address concerns, and ensure project alignment.
Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of design excellence,
conducting reviews, evaluations, and revisions as necessary to achieve optimal project
outcomes and client satisfaction.
Identify potential risks and challenges during the design and construction phases, developing
mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions, delays, and cost overruns.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architecture and
construction, pursuing continuous learning opportunities to enhance skills, knowledge, and
expertise.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior architects and project team members,
fostering professional growth, collaboration, and a positive team culture within the
architectural department.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

90 percentage of projects completion within the scheduled design phase timeline.
Less than 2% of design errors or revisions required during the project lifecycle.
Track the actual project costs and completion dates against the initial estimates.
Maintain a client satisfaction rating of 5 out of 5.
Monitor the number of design iterations required to meet regulatory requirements and any
instances of non-compliance.
Resolve design issues within 48 hours and receive positive feedback in 90% of coordination
efforts.
95 percentage of projects completed successfully without major delays, cost overruns, or
quality issues.
Complete a minimum of one relevant professional development activities per year.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Certification in architectural / construction safety (preferred).

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management, preferably
in the real estate and construction industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering architectural projects of varying scales and
complexities.
Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building practices (preferred).
Experience working with diverse client base and project types.
Additional certifications or training in relevant areas is a plus.
